Being A Tutor
After
becoming a tutor for Austin Tutors, LLC using the steps below, you
will be able to enjoy the benefits of our
advertising, our scheduling service, and our
professional reputation. Students from all
over Austin will be able to search for your profile
and book appointments with you. At any time,
you will be able to sign in securely to update your
profile or manage your availability and
appointments.
How it works
Austin Tutors is a local private tutor directory and
scheduling service. We bring students to our
website with our advertising campaign, so they can
search for local private tutors like you. You
can set your own hourly wage and work schedule.
We charge a finder's and scheduling fee of 25% of
our tutors' earnings. There is no account setup fee when you join Austin Tutors,
and
there are no monthly or other flat fees after this.
Legal Status
Austin Tutors, LLC does not employ tutors. Our
tutors are our customers along with the students we
serve. You will be paid in cash by your
students at the time of the meetings, and each month
you will pay Austin Tutors, LLC 25% of your earnings
from sessions scheduled as a result of our service.
Austin Tutors, LLC therefore does not provide any
employment benefits, and you will be responsible for
any applicable tax obligations for your tutoring
income.
